Okay, time to get down to business. There are new gigs booked with
John Mazzarella for the month of March. Please check the shows
pages for dates, times and locale. The Future Love Orchestra has
disbanded due to creative differences with our previous drummer, Michael
Raven. Although I respect Mike's decision to leave the group, I
can't say I didn't see it coming. That's why I took measures to
become more self-sufficient. I bought a sequencer that has already
been loaded with the drum tracks for one of John's songs. We are
going to perform with it at Tumulty's this Friday. It'll be a cool
test-run of my electronic drumming capabilities and I'm anxious to hear
how it sounds live.
Now that Mike's out, The John Mazzarella Band is looking for a new
drummer. We have a couple of session guys lined up for gigs that
call for a full band. The rest of the gigs are being performed as
a duo where John and I are playing one solo set each and finishing the
night as a duet.
My solo bass recording project has been put on temporary hold while I
make some modifications to my rig. I have decided to buy a new
preamp and effects unit that will greatly improve my sound for
recording. I am also planning on moving to a house in the spring
where I will set up a home studio for any projects that I may become
involved with, mainly BassDream. I also see the possibility for
future recordings with John being done between his and my studios.
